When it comes to college classes, you won;t need your standard notebook, binder, textbook for every class like you did in high school. Nine times out of ten, I rarely bring my textbook to class. Most everything I bring to class is what I use to take notes and stay organized in the class. Here's a little peak inside my bag…
For Note Taking…
Usually for note taking, I play it old school. I like to write out my notes in an organized manner. That being said, some of my classes move too fast for handwritten notes, so that's where my laptop and power points to follow along with come in handy.
Whether or not you take notes by hand or on the computer may depend on the professor as well. In some of my classes, taking notes on the computer is prohibited, so I have to take notes by hand. For those classes, I like to keep a few different color pens in my bag so note taking can be a little fun.
For Organization…
When it comes to staying organized, I'm all over anything I can do to keep organized. I keep an agenda with me at all times, and I also carry around my iPad mini with me sometimes to keep my personal life in order. I also tend to use Google Calendar (I'm a little obsessed…) to see when I have free time to work on homework or grab dinner with friends. It's extremely important to keep track of time, especially with classes, work, and sisterhood events.
Personal…
I like to keep some personal items with me a well. Chapstick is a must. End of story. I really wouldn't be able to get through the day without my Burt's Bees. I also have my wallet with me, as well as some headphones for when I go to study in the noisy student center.
Making sure you have everything with you when you go from class to class can be overwhelming, but keeping it to a minimum and only packing the necessities will help you keep everything in order.
