Get (and Stay) Organized

College: the number one place to get organized. Bet you never heard that one before.

My goal this semester is to become more organized and keep everything on track.  With so many things going on, I sometimes feel like I'm going in circles.  Thanks to suggestions from friends, I now have  few tricks on how to keep my life in order while away at school.

Google Calendar

As I'm sure I've mentioned before, Google Calendar is life.  I put everything on it that I have that day (including when I have to do laundry) and it helps me keep everything in order.  I feel extremely on track using this.  It's especially helpful when I need to see what all is going on each day, and when I have time to get homework done or relax.

Weekly List of Accomplishments

Each week on Sunday after chapter, I like to come back to my room and look ahead at the week and see what's due.  I then make a list of everything I want to accomplish by the weekend.  This technique is good because I get to cross off everything I've done (and that's motivating) and I have less I need to do over the weekend.  This list keeps my craziness down and gives me a chance to really step back and look at what needs to be done.

These are just two of my tricks to staying organized throughout the semester. What are yours?
